What is Reframing?

“Reframing Your Future” is a series of conversational workshops that help adults in midlife and beyond anticipate and plan their “work” of today and tomorrow—managing the major transitions, opportunities and dimensions of retirement years.

The workshop topics cover the concerns facing many Boomers and include:  Planning for Today and Tomorrow, Employment, Entrepreneurism, Health and Wellness, Finance, Caregiving, Housing, Safety and Transportation; and Having Fun through Learning, Socializing and Volunteering.

The series of workshops provide a comprehensive approach to planning for today and tomorrow but attending the topics that appeal to you most will also be beneficial.  Benefits include:

  • Planning skills and tools can be applied to the workplace and community.
  • Citizens will learn about helpful resources.
  • Health improvements will increase energy, productivity and community involvement
  • Knowledge about housing and caregiving will encourage communication among family members to share their individual wishes
  • Increased self awareness leads to more informed choices and opportunity to generate additional options.

The format allows for extended conversations that draw on the resources and experience of participants and the expertise of the facilitators.
